Kelli O'Hara, Jonas Kaufmann, Joyce DiDonato Will Highlight Met Opera's 2017-18 Season

The Metropolitan Opera's 2017-18 season will feature 220 performances of 26 works, including two Met premieres, one co-commissioned by the company and one an older masterpiece having its first Met performances; a variety of repertory favorites, three in new productions; and performances of Verdi's towering concert work for soloists, orchestra, and chorus, the Requiem. Of note, Broadway star Kelli O'Hara is set to return to the Met in Così fan tutte this season.

Florida Grand Opera Presents EUGENE ONEGIN, Today

From January 28 through February 4, 2017, Florida Grand Opera presents, Tchaikovsky's best loved opera, Eugene Onegin, at the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County. This run is followed by performances on February 9 and 11 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts Au-Rene Theater in Fort Lauderdale.

Deborah Humble to Give Adelaide Concert

Lovers of opera will be delighted with the opportunity to hear the incomparable voice of  international Mezzo-Soprano Deborah Humble who, accompanied by pianist Sharolyn Kemmorley AM and the ASO's Imants Larsens, performs in Adelaide on 11 February.  Deborah will join the audience for afternoon tea following the performance. which is included in the ticket price.

After its world premiere last June at Milan's Piccolo Teatro Studio Melato, the Center for Contemporary Opera presents the U.S. premiere of Love Hurts, by librettist L.S. Hilton - author of the best-selling novel Maestra - and composer Nicola Moro, at Symphony Space in New York City on October 28.

Robert Cuccioli & More Set for York Theatre Company's ROTHSCHILD & SONS Cast Album Release Party

Robert Cuccioli and Glory Crampton will reunite at a special gathering for the official release of the new cast recording of the York Theatre Company production of Jerry Bock, Sheldon Harnick, and Sherman Yellen's musical Rothschild & Sons on Monday, July 25 at 6:00pm at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Marilyn Horne to Lead Series of Master Classes & Recitals at Carnegie Hall in January

From January 19 to 23, Carnegie Hall's Weill Music Institute (WMI) presents The Song Continues, an annual series led by renowned mezzo-soprano Marilyn Horne, exploring song repertoire through master classes and concerts with the goal of encouraging, supporting, and preserving the art of the vocal recital. The series concludes with the Marilyn Horne Song Celebration, a recital featuring special guest artist soprano Nina Stemme on Saturday, January 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Zankel Hall. The evening's concert also features performances by soprano Julia Bullock, mezzo-soprano Daniela Mack, tenor Andrew Haji, bass-baritone Evan Hughes, and pianists John Arida, Keun-A Lee, Ken Noda, and Jennifer Szeto. York's ROTHSCHILD & SONS to Receive Cast Recording

The Off-Broadway cast recording of the new Bock and Harnick musical, Rothschild & Sons, an intimate reimagining of the Tony nominated musical The Rothschilds, will be recorded and released by JAY Records.  Produced by John Yap, the recording will feature the original cast of The York Theatre Company production who will gather at The Avatar Studios on Monday, October 26, 2015 to lay down the tracks for the recording scheduled for release on JAY Records in early January.  Executive Producers are John Yap and Arnold Mittelman.
