Starz Entertainment has acquired U.S. television rights to TANDEM Communications' ground-breaking eight-hour television adaptation of Ken Follett's bestselling novel 'The Pillars of the Earth.' Starz kicks-off with a two-hour premiere of the series, produced by Tandem Communications, MUSE Entertainment and Ridley and Tony Scott's SCOTT FREE Films, on July 23 at 10pm et/pt. Weaver to Join Lautner and Molina in 'Abduction'

Sigourney Weaver will star alongside Twilight's Taylor Lautner and RED's Alfred Molina in the upcoming film 'Abduction,' Variety reports today. In the Lionsgate feature, a young man (Lautner) discovers that he was kidnapped as a child and sets out to find his birth parents. Chaos and danger ensue. Weaver will play the psychiatrist of Lautner's character.
