The 28th annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards® Viewing Party with Netflix's Queer Eye Fab Five: Bobby Berk, Tan France, Karamo, Antoni Porowski and Jonathan Van Ness raised over $6.4 million for the global effort to end AIDS. The gala, which took place on Sunday, February 9 at West Hollywood Park in Los Angeles was generously supported by Presenting Sponsors IMDb, Walmart and Neuro Drinks and the Event  Hosts Heidi Klum, Diane Lane, Eric McCormack and Billy Porter.

During the auction lot for ROCKETMAN: an epic musical fantasy about the incredible human story of Elton John, Alexander Gilkes welcomed to the stage actor Taron Egerton, star of the upcoming motion picture film. Following a short preview of the trailer and a round of bidding on a trip to the London premiere of the film, the audience was taken by surprise when Gilkes asked Taron to sing one of Elton John's songs. Only agreeing to the performance if Elton played the piano, guests were brought to their feet as they watched Elton John take his position on the keys while Taron belted out the lyrics to one of his most beloved ballads, "Tiny Dancer."

Ferragamo announced the launch of A Man's Story, a dynamic menswear project by photographer and filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini under the creative direction of the brand's Massimiliano Giornetti that brings founder Salvatore Ferragamo's vision and conviction into the digital era.

This year's Snap Gala, benefiting the Photography Gala Fund—the largest single source of acquisitions support for photography at the Art Institute—was a record-breaking success. Attendees posed in sets of classic photographs from the Art Institute's acclaimed permanent collection during cocktail hour, as well as photo booths during dessert. The Art Institute of Chicago's Department of Photography is pleased to hostSnap: The 5th Photography Benefit Gala on October 19, 2013 in the museum's Modern Wing. This year's event celebrates the museum's encyclopedic permanent collection of photography. Proceeds from Snap contribute to the Photography Gala Fund, the largest single source of acquisitions support for photography at the Art Institute. This fund has helped make possible landmark purchases of work by André Kertész, Richard Misrach, Daido Moriyama, and Ed Ruscha, among others. The event is co-chaired by Meredith Bluhm-Wolf and Dia S. Roberto Bolle and Friends was a special evening of dance featuring international Ballet Stars. Roberto Bolle, principal dancer of the American Ballet Theatre and Ètoile of La Scala in Milan acted as both artistic director and star as he danced alongside the world's top dancers performing pas de deux and solos from both classic and modern ballets. The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) has just announced that the 30(th) Anniversary Princess Grace Awards Gala will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Cipriani 42(nd) Street in New York City. The Awards ceremony will include the presentation of 25 awards to emerging artists in theater, dance and film as well as Princess Grace Statue Awards to be presented to Patrick Page and Darron L West. A special honor will be presented to one of the founding Trustees, Lynn Wyatt, for her dedicated service and help in establishing the Foundation in 1982.
