Nominations for the 2016 Fred and Adele Astaire Awards, which honor outstanding dance and choreography on stage and screen, were announced just yesterday at the Friar's Club by New York Post columnist Michael Riedel. For the first time, the Fred and Adele Astaire Awards have explored recognizing excellence in dance, movement, and choreography off-Broadway. Twenty eligible shows in the non-profit and commercial off-Broadway arenas met the eligibility requirements and were considered.

Broadway performers will come together on Monday April 25th at The Cutting Room NYC to celebrate female composers in the one night only concert LOVE GOES ON, hosted by Miss Staten Island, Heather Wolf. The concert will benefit the suicide prevention organization, You Can NOT Be Replaced, focusing on the irreplaceable value of each person by passing wristbands. Doors open at 6:30, with the show beginning at 7:30.

The legendary shop has been much-talked about lately, after Lin-Manuel Miranda (of Hamilton fame) launched an internet campaign to bring sales into the flooded shop. And now, tonight, March 26th, stars of stage and shop employees will gather for a night of stories and songs to celebrate and benefit the legendary Drama Book Shop at Feinstein's/54 Below. The 7pm concert will feature many of the all-star Broadway talent who frequent the shop on a daily basis.
Broadway's 40 theatres aren't the only places to catch performances from your favorite stars! Well after Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. On February 25th, Feinstein's/54 Below will present 'In Memoriam,' a concert celebration of this season's Broadway and off-Broadway shows that have closed too soon.
