The Book of Mormon is leading in many of the New Musical categories - but Once and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is running it close!

Big West End showstoppers Once, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The Book of Mormon are leading the way, with the competition just as tight for the fringe categories - Chichester's The Pajama Game and Southwark Playhouse's Titanic are also garnering the votes at the moment.

Voting opened this week for the 2013 BWW:UK Awards - and we've already had a record number of votes in!

In honor of National Coming Out Day, composer and lyricist Scott Alan has made one of this songs 'Blessing', sung by RJ Helton, one of the Top Five from American Idol Season One, for free.

Inspired by Stephan Elliott's 1994 motion picture, The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, the international smash-hit show PRISCILLA, QUEEN OF THE DESERT: THE MUSICAL is making a stop in Houston. Having found success in Australia and in London, the musical had its Broadway debut at the Palace Theatre with a Bette Midler produced production on February 28, 2011, and the show officially opened on March 20. The glamorous and glittery First National Tour kicked off on January 8, 2013, and has been taking the United States by storm. Producers Whoopi Goldberg, Stage Entertainment and Troika Entertainment have announced that the North American Tour of the five-time Tony Award nominated musical SISTER ACT will begin its second year of performances. The tour opened on October 2, 2012 at Toronto's Ed Mirvish Theatre and is still rocking the rafters across the country. SISTER ACT opened to stellar reviews and continues to receive them across the country.

TACT/The Actors Company Theatre presents Natural Affection by William Inge, the first production of the company's 21st Season. Directed by TACT Co-Artistic Director Jenn Thompson, performances begin at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre (410 West 42nd Street - between 9th & 10th Avenues) tonight, September 17, 2013. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 26 at 7:30pm. Performances will continue through October 26, 2013.

In August, WICKED's Willemijn Verkaik starred in Scott Alan's concert performance of his new musical HOME at IndigO2 at the 02. The concert was the first time entire score from HOME THE MUSICAL had been revealed. Below, check out Verkaik perform the Overture and the opening song from the show!

The last minute surprise sell out gig produced by Amzi Entertainment included special guests Sammie jay, Richard Fleeshman, Frances Ruffelle, Willemijn Verkaik and an impromptu encore performance of Home (requested by the audience) with Scott Alan dragged up to play piano. Tonight, August 4th acclaimed composer and lyricist Scott Alan wil return for his biggest concert yet at the IndigO2 Theatre Arena at the O2. The 7pm concert, produced by Amzi Entertainment, will feature a 15 piece orchestra and feature song selections from Alan's four albums, 'Dreaming Wide Awake,' 'Keys,' 'What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up,' and 'LIVE.' The concert will have a very special finale.
