BroadwayWorld has learned that the Davenport Theatre (354 W 45th St.) has closed to doors for good. Davenport Theatrical Enterprises acquired the Davenport Theatre in 2014, converting a firehouse to a 127-seat main stage theatre and 99-seat loft space. Ken Davenport writes in a recent blog post:
The 2018-2019 Renee Fleming VOICES series continues with singer-songwriter Nellie McKay today, February 8, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. in the Terrace Theater. Robert Fox and Alex Turner, in association with Park Theatre and King's Head Theatre, today announce the full cast for the UK premiere of Martin Sherman's new play Gently Down The Stream, following a critically acclaimed run at the Public Theater in New York.
