Carmike Cinemas To Bring Michael Jackson Memorial Service Live To Theatergoers In 28 Markets

Carmike Cinemas, Inc., a leading digital cinema and 3D motion picture exhibitor, announced today that the Michael Jackson memorial service will be shown live tomorrow, July 7, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. ET (12:00 p.m. CT, 11:00 a.m. MT, 10:00 a.m. PT) in 28 markets, giving fans the opportunity to view a cinema-quality high-definition broadcast of the event for free.

On Tuesday June 30th Harlem's Apollo Theater held a public memorial to Michael Jackson . The theater admitted 600 people at a time for a series of tribute videos and eulogies. DJs played Jackson's music throughout the day and fans left flowers and other tokens. Celebrities such as Spike Lee and Reverend Al Sharpton paid their respects during the day, cheering on the memory of the late 'King of Pop'.
