10 Hairy Legs Debuts at Baryshnikov Arts Center for Sixth Consecutive New York Season

10 Hairy Legs, the all male repertory dance company, dèbuts at Baryshnikov Arts Center for its sixth consecutive New York Season for four performances June 7 -10. The program features World Premieres by Bessie Award Nominee and company member Nicholas Sciscione, and Yin Yue. Works by Al Blackstone, Raja Feather Kelly and Christopher Williams complete the program. Sciscione will perform his solo work and Ofer Pelz his original composition at all performances. Tickets are $25 for Adults and $20 for Students and Groups of 10 or more through 10HL.org.

Steps Beyond Foundation Announces Shows at NYLA

The Steps Beyond Foundation, Steps on Broadway's non-profit arm which connects artists and community through dialogue, performance, and artistic collaboration, will present two dynamic evenings of dance, June 1-2, at New York Live Arts. Moving Pieces,a benefit performance, will raise funds for their Performance Lab Series and Artists Talks, dance scholarships and community programs at the Hudson Guild and Henry Street Settlement.

BC Beat Announces Choreographers From Tony Nominated Shows

BC BEAT, an evening that sells out and is yet intimate, dynamic, and playful, continues to stimulate new collaboration between choreographers, performers, directors, composers, and producers like no other event in New York City. Just ask Patrick McCollum. He was introduced to Steven Hoggett as a possible performer for his BC BEAT piece in 2011. Following their BC BEAT process, McCollum worked nonstop with Hoggett as an Associate Broadway Choreographer and this year, made his Broadway choreographic debut with THE BAND'S VISIT. McCollum is one of the many Broadway artists who have performed and choreographed at BC BEAT and have made the most of the opportunity at hand.

10 Hairy Legs New Brunswick Performance Rescheduled

10 Hairy Legs returns to New Brunswick for its sixth consecutive season at a new location. Tickets for the weeknight show are $10 General Admission.  Tickets: 10HL.org. The evening features works performed in 10 states during the company's national tour in the fall and winter, including debuts at The Kravis Center in West Palm Beach and Dance Place in Washington, DC, and a Preview of a World Premiere by Yin Yue that will debut at the company's 2018 New York Season at Baryshnikov Arts Center. The performance is underwritten in part by a grant from The MagyarBank Charitable Foundation. Loree Dance Theatre is located on the Douglass Campus of Rutgers University, 70 Lipman Drive. Photo Flash: Winners Announced for the 42nd Annual Carbonell Awards

Kings of Harlem, an exuberant play about an African-American basketball team in the 1930s and Sunday in the Park with George, Stephen Sondheim's intricate musical about painter George Seurat, took their respective places in South Florida theatrical history as Best Play and Best Musical on Monday, April 2, when the winners of the 42nd annual Carbonell Awards were announced. The ceremony was held at Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale.

Broadway Dance Lab's Spring 2018 Cycle Launches Today

Broadway Dance Lab (BDL), a non-profit choreography incubator supporting new works of dance-driven theatre, has announced that former New York City Ballet principal dancer, and Tony Award nominee, Robert Fairchild, will join Loni Landon and Ray Mercer as guest choreographers for the company's Spring 2018 Cycle. The Lab is set to begin on Feb. 26, and will culminate with a Gala performance on April 2 at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre.

NYC Dance Performance To Benefit The Alzheimer's Association

On February 23, a select group of NYC artists will gather in celebration of memory, movement, and community to raise funds and awareness for the Alzheimer's Association at The Tank in NYC. Featuring work from leading choreographers Al Blackstone (Freddy Falls in Love, SYTYCD), Billy Griffin (Mary Poppins, Young Frankenstein), Kaitlyn Frank (Newsies, White Christmas) and more, the night takes audience members throughout the moments that connect us to each other, no matter who we are or where we come from.
