Steppenwolf Sets LookOut Summer Lineup

Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced today the summer lineup for LookOut, a new multi-genre performance series, presenting a wide variety of work from a diverse array of voices, artists emerging and established alike. LookOut programming will take place throughout the summer in the 1700 Theatre, Steppenwolf's new 80-seat black box space at 1700 N Halsted St, which connects to the existing building.

The New Colony has announced an exciting free line-up of Side Stage programming this fall, kicking off with a new installment of THE GOLDFISH PROJECT, Shawn Bowers' uproarious (and a little bit creepy) adventures posing as a women on popular online dating sites. Then, the PSYCHONAUT LIBRARIANS return - and audiences are invited to help The New Colony and writer/director Sean Kelly further develop this sci-fi trilogy. Finally, travel with the company through the mysterious depths of the their cavernous home at the Dank Haus in BLACK & BURN, by Jake Sanders directed Joe Giovinnetti. All Side Stage performances will be presented at the Dank Haus German American Cultural Center, 4740 N. Western Ave. in Chicago. Eduardo Placer Replaces Esteban Cruz as Angel in ATC/About Face's RENT

Esteban Cruz has had to permanently leave the cast of American Theater Company/About Face's production of RENT for undisclosed personal reasons. As of today, Wednesday, May 23, the role of Angel will be taken over by Eduardo Placer.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is extending it's production of the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan . It will add performances on August 13,14, 15, 19, 26, 27, & 28. Thursdays -Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. All shows are selling out so it is advised to reserve and pay on Ticketweb. All tickets are released at 10 minutes to showtime. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas. For more information and reservations call (773) 871-0442.

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. will present the Midwest Premiere of CHERRYWOOD: THE MODERN COMPARABLE by Kirk Lynn at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan. It will open Thursday, June 24th, 2010 at 8 p.m. and run Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. There will be no performance on July 4th and the Sunday July 25th performance will be at 3 p.m. There will be previews on Tuesday and Wednesday June 22nd and 23rd at 8 p.m. Tickets for previews are $5.
