Signature Premieres Athol Fugard's THE PAINTED ROCKS AT REVOLVER CREEK Tonight

Signature Theatre presents the world premiere of The Painted Rocks at Revolver Creek, written and directed by Athol Fugard. The production began performances on April 21 and will now run through June 7 with the opening set for tonight, May 11, in The Romulus Linney Courtyard Theatre at The Pershing Square Signature Center (480 West 42nd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues).

Elizabeth Addison is a rising composer, lyricist, playwright, and grateful recovering addict who brings us THIS IS TREATMENT, a powerfully evocative story of women recovering from drug addiction. Described as a 'drama filled, emotional roller coaster, tear jerker of the best variety,' Addison's new musical allows us to enter the world of treatment and forces a light upon issues that are too often kept in darkness. At its heart, THIS IS TREATMENT addresses themes that are both particular and universal: it is a celebration of women helping one another, and it is a testimony to the resilience of the human spirit.

Derby City Playwrights Sets Two Play Readings for This Month

Derby City Playwrights, an organization devoted to developing the works of Louisville writers, announces the third of four planned series of public play readings. Readings of Tender by Bryce Woodard will be featured on May 17 and Another Man's Treasure by Ben Gierhart will be featured on May 31 at 7:30 pm each Sunday at the Bard's Town Theatre.

The Jewish Museum Sets 'REVOLUTION OF THE EYE' Summer Programs

Lakewood Playhouse & Tacoma Little Theatre to Launch Directors Exchange Program

For the first time in both of their histories, the South Sound's two oldest theatre companies are teaming up, and exchanging their Managing Artistic Directors, for the closing shows of their respective Seasons. Lakewood Playhouse's Managing Artistic Director, John Munn, will be directing Tacoma Little Theatre's Musical CABARET - The Final Show of their 96th Season opening on May 22nd, 2015. Tacoma Little Theatre's Managing Artistic Director, Chris Serface, will be directing Lakewood Playhouse's Musical DROOD: THE MYSTERY of EDWIN DROOD - The Final Show of their 76th Season opening on May 29th, 2015.

Tacoma Little Theatre Presents CABARET

?Tacoma Little Theatre closes their 96th season with one of the best known musicals of all time, CABARET. The production is directed by John Munn, with Musical Direction by Pamela Merritt-Caldwell, and choreography by Lexi Barnett.

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company to Debut CSC2 with ROMEO & JULIET

Commonwealth Shakespeare Company (CSC) announces the inaugural production for its CSC2 ensemble--Shakespeare's universal and timeless love story Romeo & Juliet--at The Strand Theatre, 543 Columbia Road in Dorchester. Community performances are Friday, May 29, 7:30 p. m.; and Saturday, May 30 at 2:00 p. m. 5th Annual CHICAGO ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL Set for the Den Theatre This Weekend

The One-Minute Play Festival (Dominic D'Andrea, Producing Artistic Director and Caitlin Wees, Associate Producer) in association with The Den Theatre, is pleased to present the 5th Annual CHICAGO ONE-MINUTE PLAY FESTIVAL playing two nights only tonight, April 29 and tomorrow, April 30, 2015 at 8 pm at The Den Theatre, 1333 N. Milwaukee Ave in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

Samantha Barks Leads AMELIE Workshop; Premieres at Berkeley Rep This August

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Berkeley Repertory Theatre will kick off its 48th season with the world premiere of Amelie, an inventive and captivating new musical directed by Tony Award winner Pam MacKinnon (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) written by Craig Lucas (Prelude to a Kiss). BroadwayWorld has just confirmed that Les Miserables star Samantha Barks recently led a recent NYC workshop of the new musical. Casting for the Berkeley run has not yet been announced.
