The Tony Awards opening numbers have become an iconic and integral part of Broadway's biggest night. From medleys to original songs, the opening number is a way to celebrate the shows that will be honored throughout the night. Today, we're taking a walk down Tony memory lane with a look back on the past ten years of Tony opening numbers!

Winners of the 64th Annual Obie Awards were announced this evening in a ceremony held at New York City's Terminal 5.

The American Theatre Wing and The Village Voice are thrilled to announce the star-studded line-up of performers and presenters for the 64th Annual Obie Awards, being held on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Terminal 5 (610 West 56th Street).

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend is back tonight at Radio City Music Hall! The CW series might be over, but fans can still catch their favorite characters live in concert tonight, May 14. The concert is the exclamation point at the end of the fourth and final season, a special treat for the fans, and a celebration of the over 150 original songs that make up the CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND songbook. 

New Line Theatre, "the bad boy of musical theatre," has announced its 29th season of adult, alternative musical theatre, including the return of the wild, comic rock musical CRY-BABY,  which New Line first produced in 2012 in its American regional premiere, based on the John Waters film, running Sept. 26-Oct. 19, 2019; followed by the electrifying new rock musical fresh from Broadway, in its regional premiere, HEAD OVER HEELS, a high-energy, adult romp about gender and sexuality, based on a 16th century novel and using the songs of the pop group The Go-Go's, running March 5-28, 2020; and the season closes with the return of one of New Line's biggest hits, which the New Liners first presented in 2007, the pitch dark satire URINETOWN, the hilarious, outrageous fable of greed, corruption, love, revolution, and urination, running June 4-27, 2020.

Comedian Sarah Silverman announced earlier this week that her 2010 memoir, "The Bedwetter: Stories of Courage, Redemption, and Pee' is being turned into a musical.

Recently, the creators of the hit television series Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Rachel Bloom and Aline Brosh McKenna, chatted with Deadline about the longstanding rumor that a musical version of the show is in the works.

Rachel Bloom took to social media to announce one more CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND live show! In her tweet, Bloom said, 'Come see one more #crazyexgirlfriend live show while everyone in the cast still likes each other! Radio City, 5/14!'

The CW will air a special concert event titled, 'Yes, It's Really Us Singing: The 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Concert Special!' immediately after the series finale on Friday, April 5 at 9:00pm ET/PT. Rachel Bloom and the cast of the critically acclaimed series will perform live versions of fan-favorite songs along with incredible staging, multimedia visuals and a live band and orchestra. Building on the momentum of the sold-out success of the 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend' Live Tour, this one-of-a-kind special event will be equal parts concert special, rock concert and musical revue.

Today, Brooklyn's FEVER HIGH announced their upcoming Avec You EP (out February 22) with the release of a video for the EP's title track. Blackbook praised the video, saying it “is a pastiche of sensual but thought-provoking images, surely begging to be analyzed for historical artistic references,” and that the song “grooves along with impossibly cool aplomb (shades of early Bananarama).” 'Avec You' was featured in Spotify's New Music Friday playlist and was praised by Atwood Magazine, who said the song 'is at its heart so simple, yet it makes you feel infinite — like you are dancing through the streets of Paris, bathed in moonlight.'

A deliciously camp confection, CRY BABY THE MUSICAL is a riotous, absurd comedy of class crossed lovers constricted by 1950's post war prejudices.

According to TVLine, the CW will give Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's upcoming final season a total of 18 episodes, making it the biggest season since its first. Seasons two and three were 13 episodes each.

In a Grease-meets-Romeo & Juliet type of tale, the Tony nominated musical Cry-Baby brings loads of laughs. The Long Island premiere - running through May 12th at The Noel S. Ruiz Theatre at CM Performing Arts Center (CMPAC) - is superbly directed by Patrick Grossman - the Artistic Director of the Oakdale venue - and boasts an extraordinary cast. I've long admired the top notch comedic talent we have here on Long Island and the artists in this production certainly deliver sidesplitting performances.

Rachel Bloom's CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND is all the rage amongst the Broadway community right now for the way its managed to mesh Broadway and television so flawlessly. A live stage musical has always been a possibility, but Rachel Bloom is dropping hints on Instagram that the theory could be brushing against reality very soon (or not so soon).

Musical comedy is alive and well and on network television thanks to the exuberant genius of Rachel Bloom, the Golden Globe-winning star and writer of The CW's Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. An NYU Tisch and Upright Citizens Brigade alum, Bloom burst onto the scene in 2010 with several viral YouTube videos-including the Hugo-nominated 'f**k Me, Ray Bradbury'-that established her as a one-woman sketch comedy act and opened the door to television writing.

The cast of the CW's award-winning musical comedy CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND is taking their show on the road in this live, eight-city music tour beginning March 31. Join Rachel Bloom, select cast and CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND songwriters as they bring the show's songs to life in this very special event. Confirmed participants on the tour include Rachel Bloom, Vincent Rodriguez III, Scott Michael Foster, Pete Gardner, Aline Brosh McKenna, Adam Schlesinger and Jack Dolgen. (Talent participation will vary based on the market.) Tour cities include Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Boston, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Los Angeles. Tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 12:00 PM (local market times).

Rachel Bloom has no shame, and we're all better for it. Performing original music at Jazz at Lincoln Center's Appel Room on Feb. 11, 2018, along with co-writer Adam Schlesinger, Bloom arrived on stage with guns blazing.
