SOMETHING ROTTEN! is a musical comedy with a book by John O'Farrell and Karey Kirkpatrick and music and lyrics by Karey and Wayne Kirkpatrick. Set in 1595, it tells the story of the Bottom brothers, Nick (Rob McClure) and Nigel (Pierce Cassedy), and their struggle to produce a show that isn't overshadowed by their contemporary William Shakespeare (Adam Pascal). The show opened on Broadway in 2015 and was nominated for multiple Tony Awards and ran for 745 performances. This touring production launched earlier this year.

Curvy Widow, a new musical comedy with a book by Bobby Goldman, music and lyrics by Drew Brody (Broadway: Oh Hello; Cutman), and directed by Peter Flynn(Rhapsody in Seth; Two Rooms), will play at the Westside Theatre (407 West 43rd Street between 9th and 10th Avenues), it was announced today by the producers.

SOMETHING ROTTEN!'s heading to Omaha and someone local along with it. Actually, there are two "local" actors in this wonderfully silly, delightful Tony-nominated hit. One is Daniel Beeman from Bellevue, Nebraska. Daniel is a 2011 graduate of Bellevue West High School and is traveling in his national touring debut as chorus member and understudy for the character of Shakespeare, played by Broadway favorite Adam Pascal. I called Daniel and questioned him a bit about his new career and the show.
