Tonight, January 10, 2014, The Wonderful Wizard of Song, The Music of Oz Composer Harold Arlen, which started previews on December 17, 2012, and opened officially on January 10, 2013, will celebrate its one year anniversary at The St. Luke's Theatre (308 W 46th Street).

After many sold-out concerts throughout NYC and London (including Birdland, Joe's Pub, and headlining the Songbook Series at Lincoln Center & St. James Theatre), award-winning composer/lyricist Bobby Cronin made his full-concert 54 Below debut with songs from his musicals: W2ML (under a Broadway option), Sunset City (Running Deer Theatre Lab 2013), The Concrete Jungle (workshop March 2014), Daybreak (London's Tristan Bates Theatre 2012), and 'Til Death Do Us Part (2012 Alec Baldwin Fellowship Winner) on last night, October 29. With a book, music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa (You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, John and Jen, The Addam's Family), this exciting production is directed by Taryn Turney and will play a 3-week limited engagement. Performances will begin Thursday, July 12th and continue through Saturday, July 28th at The Secret Theatre. Running at the Castillo Theatre for six weeks from February 17 through March 25, the Fred Newman-Annie Roboff musical revival, Sally and Tom (The American Way) examines the 30-year relationship between Thomas Jefferson and his slave Sally Hemings, a relationship that produced five children and embodies the wrenching conflict between democracy and slavery, and its legacy of racism that continues to shape America to this day. In this polarizing presidential election year, the meaning of "the American way" is itself being hotly contested.
