The first session of A Noise Within's new INsiders program (formerly known as Scholar's Society) led by Dr. Miranda Johnson-Haddad, took place August 29. The topic of the evening - The Dark Fantasy of CYMBELINE, which happens to be the first play of A Noise Within's fall season.

The Theatre @ Boston Court and Furious Theatre Company present 'The Government Inspector," a World Premiere adaptation of Nikolai Gogol's "The Government Inspector" adapted by, and original songs by Oded Gross, directed by Stefan Novinksi. The play opens July 28 on the Main Stage at Boston Court Performing Arts Center, 70 North Mentor Avenue.

Rogue Artists Ensemble brings back last year's darkly comic sci-fi hit, D is for Dog, for the Hollywood Fringe Festival and beyond-featuring new twists, special effects and an even more startling conclusion. A uniquely theatrical event that melds puppetry, live actors, original music and video, D is for Dog will open as part of the Hollywood Fringe Festival tonight, June 8 and continue to run at the Hudson Mainstage through August 4. Award-winning theatre company, Son of Semele Ensemble (SOSE), presents the West Coast premiere of Sheila Callaghan's Roadkill Confidential: A Noir-ish Meditation On Brutality, opening tonight, June 8 at the Son of Semele Theater in Silver Lake. This biting satire about the connection between voyeurism, sadism, and paranoia is a hilarious and exhilarating mash-up of styles and genres.

Playwright Dale Griffiths Stamos has conceived an intriguing world premiere evening of short one-acts, 10 -15 minutes each, called Lovestruck, all dealing with the theme of love: parental love, love based purely on sexual attraction, marital love, love for those over 70, homosexual love and even abusive love. Some are funny; some, exceedingly serious. With an outstanding company of 15 actors and 7 out of 8 directed by Maggie Grant (who also acts in two of them ) - the 8th is helmed by Barbara Bain - the play is in residence at the Beverly Hills Playhouse through May 27, which means you have only two more weekends to get lovestruck.

The Broadway Dreams Foundation just presented White Christmas, a celebratory holiday cabaret featuring performances by Broadway's brightest stars and talented local BDF performers. Each year hundreds of students receive valuable musical theatre training through BDF programs offered in partnership with Philadelphia's Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts.

The cast will also feature Elijah Kranski and Sarah Sankowich.
