2nd Annual PL.A.Y Noir Festival to Kick Off at Actor's Workout Studio, 4/19

By:

Punk Monkey Productions in association with The Actor's Workout Studio presents the Second Annual PL.A.Y Noir, an evening of short plays, revolving around classic noir themes of greed, lust and betrayal, April 19-May 26, 2013.

After a sell-out inaugural run at The Actor's Workout Studio, PL.A.Y Noir is back with its second season of all things noir! With the City of Angels as its backdrop, P L.A.Y Noir's tales will transport the audience back to Hollywood's Golden Age, where they'll encounter hardboiled private detectives, double-crossing femme fatales, unscrupulous villains, and plenty of intrigue.

Featured plays are Speak No Evil (by Michael W. Moon), Desperate Desires (by David Galanter), Outside Job (by Hope Thompson), and The Zone Ranger (by Ben Goldstein and Mac Taylor).

P L.A.Y Noir features actors Elisa Dyann, James Elden, Christopher Flowers, Rebecca Herrick, Andrew J. Hillis, Adam Hunter Howard, Sarah Kelly, Art Oden, Jim Shipley, Michael C. Silva and Anna Laura Singleton.

The Actor's Workout Studio is located at 4735 Lankershim Blvd., North Hollywood, Calif. The show runs Fridays & Saturdays @ 8 p.m. and Sundays @ 7 p.m. Running time: 120 minutes (including one intermission). Admission: $17.00 online (including service fee), $20.00 cash at the door. For reservations, go to www.playnoirla.com or call 1-800-838-3006. Find the festival on Facebook at: Facebook.com/PlayNoir.
