Manny Kladitis, Jeffrey Chrzczon, Terry Schnuck, Kathleen K. Johnson, Jack Lane, Radio Mouse Entertainment, Schaffert/Hummel, Driemeyer-Sills Productions, David Gersten, Erach Screwvala, and The Shubert Organization, by special arrangement with Cranberry Productions, today announced the cast for the New York Premiere of the hit comedy whodunit Shear Madness. Last night Barrington Stage Company presented the World Premiere of Engagements by Lucy Teitler and BroadwayWorld was there. Directed by Louisa Proske (BSC debut), Engagements stars (in their BSC debuts) Amanda Quaid (Irish Rep's The Weir) as Lauren, Kate Loprest (First Date) as Allison, Adam Gerber (George Street Playhouse The Whipping Man) as Ryan, Phoebe Strole (Spring Awakening) as Catherine, and Robert David Grant (Yale Rep Hamlet) as Mark.

The Old Globe invites your participation and coverage as it begins presenting shows through an exciting new producing platform, Globe for All. This free-of-charge tour of a professional production of Shakespeare will allow the theatre to serve more communities throughout San Diego by collaborating with a diverse range of local organizations. Old Globe Artistic Director Barry Edelstein directs the first production, Shakespeare's fascinating romance All's Well That Ends Well. He has cast local professional actors, including recent graduates of the Old Globe/University of San Diego Graduate Theatre Program. The Old Globe's production of Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona, directed by Globe alumnus, and Tony Award nominee Mark Lamos (Compleat Female Stage Beauty, Pentecost, Resurrection Blues) began on August 10 and opens tonight, August 16, at the outdoor Lowell Davies Festival Theatre. The production runs through September 14, 2014.
