Joining the couple were such stars as Priscilla Presley, Judd Nelson, Doris Roberts, Peyton List, Kevin Chamberlin, John Gammon, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, Jacqueline Toboni, Lorenzo Lamas, Kay Cole, Kate Linder, Renee Marino, Sam Harris, Sharna Burgess, and Scott Wilson.

Well, how about a pair of better-known American Idol alums in the lead roles... a pair that also just happens to be married to each other in real life? Though Diana DeGarma (as the Narrator) and Ace Young (as Joseph) may be the names on the marquee, it's the fun party atmosphere exuded by the show's terrific ensemble cast that really makes this show pop.

Oddly enough, the majority of the times I've seen this show the stars have been a married couple, and the current production playing at the Fox Theatre is no exception, with Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young headlining.

I have a special place in my heart for Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. As a child this musical introduced me to shows beyond the world of Rogers and Hammerstein. Sadly over the years I have seen multiple versions of the show where directors pushed inside jokes and actors chewed the scenery. The show began to lose the adoration that my childhood so easily bestowed upon it. I was looking forward to seeing this production at the Orpheum Tuesday night but I also dreaded what I thought might be the nail in the coffin for me and this musical.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, recently featured Diana DeGarmo and Ace Young in 'Samson & Delilah, A Love Story'- an evening of songs from the Broadway Records album containing songs from the forthcoming new musical Samson & Delilah, music and lyrics by Ron Yatter. The songs are a unique blend of legit theater and pop/rock. The show is a new telling of the epic, tragic love story of the biblical couple from different cultures. Delilah, the beautiful young Philistine, falls in love with the mighty Samson. When she betrays him it's over misguided jealousy. She realizes her tragic mistake and they reconcile.
