On Monday January 19th, 2015 acclaimed songwriter Scott Alan will make his concert debut at 54 Below in celebration of his sixth studio album, 'Greatest Hits: Volume One.' The evening is being billed as an 'intimate night of storytelling feature many guests from the Broadway stage.'

FWD Theatre Project, a grass-roots initiative for the discovery, development and delivery of original musical theater to the Chicago community, has sold out its official launch event, titled LaunchingFWD!, in the 330-seat main room at City Winery Chicago, 1200 W. Randolph Street, scheduled to take place Monday, September 22 at 8 pm. FWD and City Winery today announce they will open an additional 70 "Mezzanine" tickets for sale beginning Wednesday, September 10, to meet the overflow demand.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that the Tony Award-winning musical Kinky Boots will celebrate its 500th Performance on Thursday, June 19th with a social media contest for fans. Beginning today, fans can enter to win tickets to the 500th Performance by using a Do-It-Yourself Kinky Boots Card to add the show's iconic red boots to their photos, and sharing those photos online using hashtag #Kinky500.. On Tuesday, June 17th, the five most creative photos will be selected, and the winners will be given a pair of tickets to celebrate with the cast on June 19th at the Hirschfeld Theatre.

Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced today that Kinky Boots, the Tony Award-winning musical, will celebrate its 100,000th fan 'Like' on Facebook by offering free tickets to lottery entrants for the week of March 18-23, 2014. For this week only, the production will offer 10 pairs of free tickets to each performance, in place of the regular $37 lottery price.

At This Performance will feature 13 of Broadway's current understudies, standbys and alternates in tonight's performance. At This Performance is a series of showcases that give actors working in current Broadway and Off-Broadway productions the opportunity to take to the stage and sing both a song from their show and from their repertoire, and answer questions about the life of a Broadway performer.
As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Kinky Boots will welcome new cast members beginning tonight, March 4, 2014. Jeanna de Waal joins the cast as 'Lauren' (replacing Annaleigh Ashford, who leaves to join the cast of Showtime's 'Masters of Sex'), and Cortney Wolfson, who was previously in the ensemble, moves up to the role of 'Nicola' (replacing Lena Hall, who leaves to join the cast of Hedwig and the Angry Inch). Anna Eilinsfeld takes over Wolfson's role in the cast.

Josh Franklin is an accomplished Broadway performer who will be portraying Bobby Child in Crazy For You this season at the Stratford Theater Festival. A Colorado Springs native, Josh was in the Broadway companies of Anything Goes, Ghost, Legally Blonde and Grease. He received wide recognition for his first national tour roles as Bob Gaudio (Jersey Boys), Danny Zuko (Grease), Chad (All Shook Up), Billy Crocker (Anything Goes) and in Disney's On the Record. He received his B.F.A. from Webster Conservatory and is an accomplished songwriter, musician and recording artist. He was selected to perform for the PBS special A Capitol Fourth (2009) live in Washington, DC.
