Syfy Sets 12 MONKEYS Premiere Date

Syfy's anticipated adventure thriller 12 Monkeys will make its series premiere on Friday, January 16 at 9pm ET/PT. Inspired by the classic blockbuster film, which commemorates its 20th anniversary next year, 12 Monkeys explores the provocative story of a time traveler from a decimated future in a high-stakes race against the clock. Utilizing a dangerous and untested method of time travel, he journeys from 2043 to the present day on a mission to locate and eradicate the source of a deadly plague that will all but annihilate the human race. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions in association with Atlas Entertainment, producer of the original theatrical film.

Tom Noonan & Emily Hampshire Join the Cast of Syfy's 12 MONKEYS

Syfy's adventure thriller, 12 Monkeys will commence series production August 6 in Toronto, Canada. The season, consisting of 13 episodes, stars Aaron Stanford (as time-traveler Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly), Kirk Acevedo (Ramse) and Noah Bean (Aaron Marker).

Syfy has given a series order to 12 Monkeys, a drama based on the 1995 Universal Pictures film directed by Terry Gilliam.

Syfy is giving a series greenlight to 12 Monkeys, a drama based on the 1995 Universal Pictures film directed by Terry Gilliam, it was announced today by Syfy President, Dave Howe. Syfy is ordering 12 episodes in addition to the pilot which was filmed last year. The series is produced by Universal Cable Productions and Atlas Entertainment, producer of the original theatrical.

On this week's all new episode of Nikita, titled 'Reunion,' in order to gain control of the black box, Amanda (Melinda Clarke) makes plans to kidnap Ari's (guest star Peter Outerbridge) son Stefan (guest star Dylan Minnette) to use him as leverage. Still in Division's protective custody, Ari begs Nikita (Maggie Q) for help. However, Stefan's bodyguard Krieg (guest star Andrew Divoff) manages to capture both Nikita and Amanda and the two must work together to escape. Owen (Devon Sawa) is furious with Michael (Shane West) after Michael assigns Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) to be Nikita's back-up instead of him. Aaron Stanford also stars. Jon Cassar directed the episode written by Terry Matalas & Travis Fickett (#313). 'Reunion' airs this Friday at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.

On this week's new episode of Nikita, titled 'With Fire,' after Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) gets a tip from Shadowbot that Ari (guest star Peter Outerbridge) is in NY, Nikita (Maggie Q) and Owen (Devon Sawa) swoop in to pick him up before the FBI does. 'With Fire' airs March 1 at 8:00 p.m. on The CW.

When Michael and Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) and Ryan (Noah Bean) find out, they follow her into Kosovo but the outcome has far-reaching consequences for Division. Marc David Alpert directed the episode written by Kristen Reidel (#310).
