The Open Fist Theatre Company has announced that its smash-hit, critically-acclaimed production of FOOTE NOTES, written by Horton Foote and directed by Scott Paulin is extending again through Saturday, February 23 at the Open Fist Theatre, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

Amicus Productions presents actor/playwright Jeff Daniels' touching comedy, Apartment 3A, at The Papermill Theatre, tonight, Jan 31 - Feb 2 and Feb 7-9 at 8p.m. and Feb 3 & 9 at 2p.m. Tickets are $22 regular, $20 for seniors and $18 for students. 'Mr. Sorkin's considerable talents are an asset to any project and we regret that he's unable to remain with HOUDINI,' said producers Scott Sanders and David Rockwell, 'However, what Hugh and the creative team continue to create is one of the most exciting projects we've ever been a part of. Our projected arrival on Broadway and additional creative team announcement will be made at a future date.'

According to Deadline.com, Aaron Sorkin has withdrawn as librettist of the upcoming Broadway production Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman. Sorkin's schedule, including his commitments involving the second season of HBO's 'The Newsroom' and adapting Walter Isaacson's book 'Steve Jobs' for Sony Pictures, would not allow him time to continue work on the musical.

It was announced today that one of Hollywood's leading stunt coordinators, two-time Emmy-winner, Peewee Piemonte (SouthLAnd), will be making his directorial debut with the Dystopian skateboarding 3D film Skate God, with Esti Ginzburg (Twelve) onboard as the female lead.

As previously reported by BWW TV World, Rosemarie DeWitt has dropped out of the second season of Aaron Sorkin's HBO drama, THE NEWSROOM. According to EW, acclaimed actress Marcia Gay Harden is stepping up to replace her.
