Stanley Tucci & Anne Tatlock to be Honored at New York Stage and Film's Winter Gala, 11/17

New York Stage and Film have announced that its Annual Winter Gala, to be held this year on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at The Plaza Hotel (770 Fifth Avenue, New York City), will honor Oscar nominated multi-hyphenate Stanley Tucci and business luminary Anne Tatlock. Biographies for each can be found below. It was also announced today that, at the gala, Tony Award winners Lin-Manuel Miranda and Anika Noni Rose will perform selections from Miranda's upcoming The Hamilton Mixtape, which was performed in a concert reading this past summer during the 2013 Powerhouse Season, the annual highlight of the nearly three-decades long collaboration between Vassar College and New York Stage and Film to develop works for the American theater.

Billy Crystal Brings 700 SUNDAYS Back to Broadway's Imperial Theatre Tonight

Billy Crystal will return to Broadway this fall for a 9-week-only limited engagement of his Tony Award-winning, record-breaking play 700 Sundays. This will mark the final engagement of this production. Previews begin tonight, November 5, 2013 at the Imperial Theatre (249 West 45th Street) with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, November 13, 2013 and a final performance set for Sunday, January 5, 2014. 700 Sundaysis performed and written by Mr. Crystal with additional content by Alan Zweibel and direction by Des McAnuff.

Abigail Pogrebin's STARS OF DAVID to Have Limited 5-Week NYC Engagement

Producer Daryl Roth, in association with Harbor Entertainment, has announced plans for a limited 5-week engagement concert presentation of the new show Stars of David, based on the highly acclaimed book, Stars of David by Abigail Pogrebin, from November 13 - December 15, 2013 at the DR2 Theatre (103 East 15th Street, at Union Square). Winner of the Kevin Kline Award for Outstanding New Play, Deanna Jent's FALLING makes its West Coast debut with one of the most awarded young theatre companies in Los Angeles, Rogue Machine. Winning upwards of 50 awards (including Los Angeles Drama Critics Circle, LA Weekly, Ovation, Garland, and BEST PRODUCTION two years in a row), the company was lauded as 'Best Theatre Company of 2012' by the LA Weekly. Tony and Grammy award nominated composer and lyricist of Broadway's Big Fish, The Wild Party and The Addams Family, Andrew Lippa comes to London for the first time this November with a host of special guests. Appearing at the St. James Theatre, Andrew will be joined by performers from Broadway, the West End and further afield as he takes the audience on a journey through his life and career as a writer and composer. The concert will exclusively preview music from his latest Broadway creation Big Fish - a new musical adaptation based on the book by Daniel Wallace and the Tim Burton film (currently previewing at the Neil Simon Theatre, directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman) - and will also feature music from his hit shows, as well as his lesser known works and a selection of 'lost' material.

BWW Reviews: MUSEUM is a Quick-Paced, Rambunctious Satire

Though art about art has been all over Austin as of late, there's always room for one more production provided it's as good as this. Museum is a bold, laugh-out-loud farce that lovingly mocks the pretentiousness often found in both modern art and those who claim to love and understand it.

Marlo Thomas to Lead World Premiere of Joe DiPietro's CLEVER LITTLE LIES at George Street Playhouse; Performances to Begin 11/19

George Street Playhouse and Artistic Director David Saint have announced the casting of MARLO THOMAS, award-winning actress of stage and screen, in the world premiere production of Clever Little Lies, by Tony Award-winner JOE DiPIETRO (rescheduled from the 2012-13 season). Mr. Saint will helm the production, slated to take the stage in New Brunswick, November 19 - December 22. The remainder of the cast will be announced at a later date.

Sorkin on 3rd Season of NEWSROOM: 'I Need Time to Think About It'

At this year's Emmy Awards, NEWSROOM showrunner Aaron Sorkin revealed to Indiewire that he is still considering whether he wants to commit to writing another season of the hit HBO drama. 'I need time to think about it,' Sorkin said when asked about the possibility of a third season.

A DISH FOR THE GODS at Theatre Row Opens Today
