The season will kick off with a special benefit production of A Piece of My Heart by Shirley Lauro. New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) Artistic Director James C. Nicola has announced that Fetch Clay, Make Man, written by Will Power and directed by Des McAnuff, will begin performances Friday, August 23 at NYTW, 79 East 4 Street, between Bowery and Second Avenue. Opening night is set for Thursday, September 12 at 7pm. Fetch Clay, Make Man is scheduled to run through Sunday, October 13; tickets are on sale now.

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, earlier this year, Aaron Sorkin withdrew as librettist of the upcoming Broadway production Houdini, starring Hugh Jackman. Now in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, he revealed that he's deveoping another musical for Broadway. When jokingly asked if he'd ever write dance sequences into his television scripts, Sorkin resopnded: ' Well, I'm going to be doing a Broadway musical, and there will be plenty of extended dance sequences.'
Kicking off its nine-episode second season SUNDAY, JULY 14 (10:00-11:00 p.m. ET/PT), the series is executive produced by Sorkin, Scott Rudin (the Oscar(R) winner 'No Country for Old Men ') and Alan Poul (HBO's multiple Emmy(R) winner 'Six Feet Under').
