Teatro Linea de Sombra's AMARILLO to Play Chicago Shakespeare as Part of DESTINOS Festival

Chicago Shakespeare Theater (CST) announces a World's Stage production in its soon-to-be-completed new venue, The Yard at Chicago Shakespeare: Teatro Linea de Sombra's evocative Amarillo, October 17-29, 2017. Devised by one of Mexico's most celebrated and forward-thinking ensembles and directed by Jorge A. Philadelphia Theatre Company Continues Season With WRESTLING JERUSALEM

Philadelphia Theatre Company continues its 2017-2018 festival-style theatre season with the local premiere of Wrestling Jerusalem, written and performed by Aaron Davidman and directed by Michael John Garc s. This one-man show grapples with identity, history, and social justice and was the impetus for the 2016 film, Wrestling Jerusalem, that has been a selection at film festivals around the country. The gripping performance takes over the stage at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre (480 S. Broad Street) October 18-November 5. Press Night is Friday, October 20 at 8 p.m. Tickets run $25 to $69 and are available at the Suzanne Roberts Theatre box office, online at philatheatreco.org or by phone 215-985-0420.

ART/WNY presents Aaron Posner's STUPID F**CKING BIRD

The second production scheduled for American Repertory Theater of WNY's 2017-18 season features American playwright Aaron Posner's 2013 adaptation of Anton Chekhov's 1896 play THE SEAGULL entitled Stupid F**CKING BIRD. Directed by ART/WNY alumni Michael Lodick (JESUS HATES ME), STUPID F**CKING BIRD will open on October 19th and run to November 11th.

Company of Fools to Present Tanya Barfield's BRIGHT HALF LIFE

Following a successful summer run of Aaron Posner's play Life Sucks, Company of Fools' 22nd season of theatre continues this fall with a production of BRIGHT HALF LIFE by playwright Tanya Barfield. Company of Fools' Interim Artistic Director, Ilana Becker, will direct the play, which runs Sept. 27-Oct. 14, 2017, at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey.
