The assassinations of Rome's great ruler of the Republic and revolutionary leader Malcolm X take to the stage when Tony Award-winning The Acting Company couples Shakespeare's Julius Caesar with X: Or, Betty Shabazz v. The Nation, a compelling new play by lauded playwright Marcus Gardley (The House that Will Not Stand, The Gospel of Lovingkindness, Every Tongue Confess, On The Levee). YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) continues its 50th Anniversary Season with a new production of ASSASSINS, book by John Weidman, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, directed by James Bundy, March 17-April 8, at the University Theatre (222 York Street). Opening Night is March 23.

Ailey II makes its NYU Skirball Center for the Performing Arts debut March 29 - April 2, sharing two programs of premieres and returning favorites with audiences during its annual New York season. The 12 young dancers return to the New York stage after a 25-city world tour to share their artistry and prowess in an expansive repertory by emerging and established choreographers, including Leila Da Rocha, Jean Emile, Jae Man Joo, Ray Mercer, Bridget L. Moore, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater member Jamar Roberts, and former Ailey dancer Marcus Jarrell Willis.

Theatre Three will host a special, one-night-only benefit concert to raise money to offset medical expenses for local theatre artist Derek Whitener. The concert will take place on Today, January 24, 2017, at 7:30 PM on Theatre Three's Norma Young Arena Stage. Tickets are free, but a cash donation is suggested. All donations will go directly to Derek Whitener and his family to pay for medical expenses and loss of income. Theatre Three is located in The Quadrangle, 2800 Routh Street, Suite 168, Dallas, TX 75201.

Theo Ubique Artistic Director Fred Anzevino has announced a cast for the company's production of Frank Loesser's semi-operatic musical The Most Happy Fella that includes talents with experience in the world of opera as well as musical theater. Anzevino will direct, with Jeremy Ramey as Music Director, Adam Veness providing scenic design, Bill Morey costumes, James Beaudry choreography, and Courtney Crouse assistant directing.
