BWW Review: THE WAKE at Premiere Stages is an Outstanding Family Drama

Premiere Stages at Kean University is currently staging the world premiere of 'The Wake' by Tammy Ryan through July 28. This finely crafted family drama is laced with just the right amount of humor. New York Guitar Festival Announces Additional Artists to Lineup

The New York Guitar Festival and Arts Brookfield will present “Memphis Minnie: In Search of the Hoodoo Lady,” a free, outdoor concert celebrating the life and music of influential blues guitarist Memphis Minnie. Hart NPI artistic director Christopher Hart will direct Silver Medallion-winning plays Confederates by Suzanne Bradbeer, opening Nov. 9, and Exit Wounds by Wendy Graf, opening Nov. 16, atGrove Theater Center in Burbank, where the two plays will continue to run in repertory through Dec. 16. One will be named the Gold Medallion winner and open on March 13, 2019 for a six-week, off-Broadway run in the 196-seat "Theater A" at 59E59 Theaters in New York City.

Walking Papers Announce Tour With Myles Kennedy

Seattle's Walking Papers will be on tour with Myles Kennedy beginning November 13th in Chicago, IL.  The band just returned from a European tour where they played to packed houses in the UK, France, Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic, Norway, and Denmark.  The band features singer/songwriter Jefferson Angell, keyboardist/backing vocalist Benjamin Anderson (both from The Missionary Position), bassist Duff McKagan (Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver), and drummer Barrett Martin (Screaming Trees, Mad Season) but because of previous commitments Duff McKagan and Barrett Martin will not be along for these dates. Instead, Angell and Anderson will be joined by fellow Seattle musicians Tristan Hart (guitar), Dan Spalding (bass, upright bass and baritone saxophone), Will Andrews (drums), and Gregor Lothian (saxophone).
