Barry Harris is an Internationally renowned Jazz Pianist, Composer and Teacher. Strongly influenced by Bud Powell, Thelonious Monk, and Charlie Parker Harris is unquestionably the foremost exponent of the music of Powell, Tadd Dameron, and Monk, and is one of the few jazz musicians of the late 20th and 21st Centuries who can teach and play the music with equal clarity.

Playwrights 6 is pleased to announce that veteran actor Peter James Smith is joining the cast of its current co-production with Celebration Theatre, 'The Prodigal Father,' which has been playing to excellent reviews since opening March 27.
'The Prodigal Father,' a world premiere play by Larry Dean Harris directed by Michael Matthews, will open March 27, 2008, at Celebration Theatre (CT) as a co-production between CT and Playwrights 6 (P6). Television veteran Max Gail plays the title role in a cast that includes Josette DiCarlo, Joe Rose, Allain Rochel and Truly Magyar.
