Eclipse Theatre Company announces 2019 season will feature the comedic works of playwright Christopher Durang

The Peace Center announced today that individual tickets for the Greenville premiere of Dear Evan Hansen will go on sale Friday, Nov. 16, at 10 a.m. Tickets may be purchased by calling 864.467.3000 or 800.888.7768, in person at the Peace Center Box Office or online at www.peacecenter.org.

The fourth concert of Interpretations series' 30th Season also features bassist Mark Dresser, and multi-reeds virtuoso J.D. Parran in quartet.

Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, New York City Center's Principal Dance Company, returns to the theater's stage from November 28 - December 30, 2018 for a milestone season. During the Company's Ailey Ascending 60th Anniversary celebration, Artistic Director Robert Battle leads Ailey's 32 extraordinary dancers during this five-week holiday engagement that will elevate a legacy of excellence in artistry with premieres by some of today's most revered and prolific choreographers, including world premieres by Rennie Harris and Ronald K. Brown; a company premiere by Wayne McGregor; a new production of by Robert Battle; the return of a recent premiere by Jessica Lang, and special performances of rarely seen works by Alvin Ailey himself.

Musical Theatre's West's acclaimed "Broadway in Concert" series returns with an exciting line-up of stars from the Great White Way! Opening the series at the intimate Beverly O'Neill Theatre at Long Beach Convention Center, is Broadway's Sam Harris (The Producers, The Life) performing Let Me Sing: An Evening of Broadway, Ballads, and Blues on November 18, 7pm. The series continues with performances by David Burnham (Wicked and Light in the Piazza) & Tami Tappan Damiano (Cyrano and Miss Saigon) in A Broadway Romance (February 3, 2019), and Teri Bibb (Phantom of the Opera and She Loves Me) in Once Upon a Song: A Tribute to the Ladies of the Silver Screen on March 24, 2019. The Billie Holiday Theatre at RestorationART, in association with Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company, is presenting Colman Domingo's Dot under the direction of Tony Award-winning director Kenny Leon (American Son currently on Broadway starring Kerry Washington, A Raisin in the Sun and August Wilson's Fences) and starring Emmy Award-winning Billie Holiday Theatre alumna Denise Burse ('Black Mirror,' Tyler Perry's 'House of Payne') as Dotty. With tacky leg lamps, weird department store Santas, and ruined turkey dinners - courtesy of the neighbor's dog - the holiday season commences at Mercer County Community College's (MCCC's) Kelsey Theatre with "A Christmas Story - The Musical." This festive production is presented by M&M Stage Productions Fridays, Nov. 16 and 30 at 8 p.m.; Saturdays, Nov. 17, 24 and Dec. 1 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.; and Sundays, Nov. 18, 25 and Dec. 2 at 2 p.m.

There's nothing rotten about Something Rotten! When the Bottom brothers, Nick and Nigel (Matthew Michael Janisse and Richard Spitaletta) find out that their newest play about Richard II is in direct competition with another play about the same exact thing written and directed by rock star-status-achieving Shakespeare (Matthew Baker), they scrap the entire script and seek out a new idea.

Broken Nose Theatre is pleased to launch its seventh season with the world premiere dark comedy PLAINCLOTHES, written by company member Spenser Davis* and co-directed by Kanome Jones and Davis. Developed with much of the team behind BNT's runaway 2017 hit At The Table, PLAINCLOTHES will play November 9 - December 15, 2018 at its resident home, The Den Theatre (2A), 1331 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago's Wicker Park neighborhood.

Kyo-Shin-An Arts continues its 10th anniversary season with a concert titled Crimson Leaves on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 4pm at Tenri Cultural Institute (43A West 13th Street, NYC), which features the Boston-based, inspiring young piano trio Neave Piano Trio and KSA Artistic Director,Shakuhachi Grand Master James Nyoraku Schlefer in music for piano trio and shakuhachi. This intimate performance of chamber music blurs the lines of world culture, encompassing fiery rhythms of Iran, the sensuous passion of Argentina, the sudden drama of Hong Kong, and the austere calm of Japan. Violin, cello, piano and shakuhachi come together in music by Amir Eslami (Seasons for shakuhachi and piano trio), Astor Piazzolla (The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires for piano trio), Adrian Hon Chung Lam (Separated... at the Human Labyrinth of Asakusa Temple for shakuhachi and piano trio) and the famous traditional Shika no Tone (Cry of the Distant Deer) for two shakuhachi, with special guest Brian Tairaku Ritchi (bassist in The Violent Femmes).

The critically acclaimed hit family comedy series “black-ish” announced today that it has teamed up with prolific designer and influencer Dominic Ciambrone, also known as The Shoe Surgeon, to customize five pairs of “black-ish” branded sneakers. Playing off of Johnson family patriarch Dre's fondness for Nikes, the five unique pairs of sneakers were exclusively designed and constructed by The Shoe Surgeon to celebrate the launch of “black-ish” in national syndication five nights a week, beginning Monday, Sept. 17, 2018. All five pairs will be included in a prize package posted on Omaze, an online fundraising platform, with proceeds benefitting Boys & Girls Clubs of America.
