Theatre Jacksonville is a volunteer based community theatre whose mission is to enrich lives and broaden cultural understanding through community participation in theatre arts. This mission supports inclusion and the development of diversity in the Company's artistic, volunteer, audience and donor bases. This goal is achieved through presenting plays and programs of noted artistic excellence, supporting volunteers and students with exceptional training and educational opportunities, and allowing for the development of unique and/or original performance projects and events by Florida artists. The second of three thematically-linked new dramas, 'Hesperia' follows Claudia, a former porn star, as she takes a new name and a new faith in the Midwestern cornfields of Hesperia. Her fiancée Trick, an idealistic youth minister, shepherds her in her new life.

The performing arts collective behind Philly Fringe hits Purr, Pull, Reign: A Litigious Fantasy in D ('09), The Giant Squid ('08) and The Ballad of Joe Hill (‘06) has established Swim Pony Performing Arts, an independent Philadelphia-based theater company dedicated to producing entirely original new work.
