From: Photo Flash: First Look at Shakespeare Off-Broadway's THE TAMING OF THE SHREWThe 2015/16 season of Shakespeare Off-Broadway begins this evening with a limited engagement of The Taming of the Shrew, written by William Shakespeare and adapted by The Theatre Project's repertory ensemble TP&co. The Taming of the Shrew is the first play highlighted in the company's well-received Shakespeare Off-Broadway series, and is directed by Artistic Director Christian Amato with musical direction by Eric Fletcher and choreography by Emily Maddan. The Bard's classic comedy pits the spirited Katherine against the fortune-seeking Petruchio, who has agreed to woo and marry her as a favor to his old friend Hortensio, who is in love with Bianca, Katherine's younger, more beautiful and more popular sister.
