BIO

LORALEE TYSON (she/her) is an actor, producer, and director who splits her time between NYC and the DMV area.


Her favorite NYC Theater credits include The Threepenny Opera (nominated for Drama Desk Award - best revival), Recent Tragic Events, Ten Commandments (NYNW Festival), and A Serious Person (MITF). On screen she can be seen appearing on HBO’s The Deuce as punk-rock bartender Annette in season 2.

As a lover of both the classics and new works in all forms she is the founder of Hysterical Female Productions. HFP was founded with a mission to create + produce femme led films and media. They currently have two short films in post-production and one on the film festival circuit!

She’s a proud member of SAG-AFTRA and AEA as well as an intermediate sewist!

Emerging playwright John Doble, whose one-act plays COFFEE HOUSE, GREENWICH VILLAGE and A SERIOUS PERSON were Finalists for Best Play in 2012 and 2013 at Midwinter Madness and Manhattan Rep, respectively, will be represented at the 14th Annual Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival this summer with A SERIOUS PERSON AND THEN SOME, an evening of three one-act plays including A SERIOUS PERSON and COFFEE HOUSE, GREENWICH VILLAGE, as well as TATYANA AND THE CABLE MAN. Produced by Michael Palmer in association with the Midtown InterNational Theatre Festival, A SERIOUS PERSON AND THEN SOME will play five performances only beginning tonight, July 16th.
