Fifty years since it was first recorded at BBC Television Centre in 1974, the “greatest British sitcom of all time” (Radio Times) Fawlty Towers, has been adapted for the West End stage by comedy legend John Cleese and will premiere at London’s Apollo Theatre Shaftesbury Avenue on Wednesday 15 May.

The smash-hit Only Fools and Horses The Musical is to close at London’s Theatre Royal Haymarket on Saturday 29 April after four incredible years – making it the longest running production staged in the Theatre Royal’s 200+ year history.

Paul Whitehouse will return to the cast of the smash hit West End show Only Fools and Horses The Musical next year, starring once again as the lovable Grandad from 9 January. Based on the original TV comedy series by Raymond Allen, the stage adaptation of SOME MOTHERS DO 'AVE 'EM is written and directed by Guy Unsworth and stars Joe Pasquale as the loveable but accident-prone Frank Spencer, Sarah Earnshaw as Betty, Susie Blake as Mrs Fisher, Moray Treadwell as Mr Luscombe/Mr Worthington, David Shaw-Parker as Father O'Hara and Chris Kiely as Desmond/Constable.

YANK! is based on the Off-Broadway hit production from 2010, with book and lyrics by American writer David Zellnik, with his brother Joseph Zellnik's musical score paying homage to the timeless music of the 1940s. The musical is directed by James Baker, and is produced by Katy Lipson for Aria Entertainment, Hope Mill Theatre, Ben Millerman with Jim Kierstead and Guy James. The long-awaited European Premiere of war-time love story Yank! is now open and running preview performances in Manchester ahead of its official opening on Wednesday evening, already standing ovations have taken place at each of the five preview performances. The Spitfire Grill, a musical based on the 1986 film of the same name that was seen Off-Broadway in a production by Playwrights' Horizons at the Duke Theatre on 42nd Street in 2001, is receiving its U.K. premiere at London's Union Theatre. It began performances yesterday prior to an official opening tonight, July 24, for a run through August 15.
