Suzi Bolen BIO

Suzi Bolen was born into a theatrical Chicago family in 1953 on the opening night of East-Eden Theater where her father, Don Bolen, was Artistic Director. She began her professional theater career at age 14 appearing in "Flora, the Red Menace" and "The Boyfriend" with notable performers Marilu Henner, Doreen Dunn, and Jim Jacobs at Jane Adams Hull House. Suzi starred in numerous children's theater productions at Mill Run Theater, as well as the role of The Courtesan "The Boys from Syracuse" at The Goodman Theater, playing Mazeppa to rave reviews in "Gypsy" at Papermill Playhouse, the Baroness in "The Sound of Music", and East Coast tours of "Funny Girl" and "1776". Ms. Bolen also co-starred as Hedy Larue with Van Johnson in "How to Succeed..." and as Gloria Rasputin with Lucy Arnaz in "Bye-Bye, Birdie" at Milwaukee's Melody Top Theater. Since retiring from the stage in 1980, Suzi has followed in her father's footsteps as an interior designer, and she is the proud mother of two beautiful daughters, Leigh and Christina.
