The final production of San Francisco Opera’s 2023 Fall Season marks the return Gaetano Donizetti’s The Elixir of Love (L’Elisir d’Amore) for a six-performance run at the War Memorial Opera House opening tonight, November 19. Check out production photos here!

Donizetti's The Elixir of Love is opera's most heartwarming comedy, filled with delectable music that will be led by Lyric's Music Director Enrique Mazzola in this new-to-Chicago production directed by Daniel Slater. Design by Robert Innes Hopkins; original lighting design by Simon Mills; revival lighting design by Sarah Riffle; choreography by Tim Claydon; with the Lyric Opera Chorus prepared by Michael Black.

San Francisco Opera’s weekly, free opera streams continue in February with Wagner’s Lohengrin (February 6–7), Mozart’s Così fan tutte (February 13–14), Puccini’s La Rondine (February 20–21) and Verdi’s Falstaff (February 27–28).

Depraved serial killer John Wayne Gacy hunted in the streets of Chicago in the 1970s, luring 33 young men to a violent death. Gacy's insatiable urge to kill eventually became his undoing in 1978, and dental records were able to identify 25 of his victims. But when Gacy was put to death by lethal injection in 1994, the identities of the eight remaining victims died with him. Now, 40 years after Gacy terrorized the streets of Chicago, Investigation Discovery is re-opening the case in an attempt to finally uncover the identities of eight remaining victims. This limited series follows Detective Sergeant Jason Moran, a one-man cold case unit in Cook County, Illinois who seeks the help of new DNA technology to finally give families closure. The three-part limited series DEADLY LEGACY premieres Sundays at 10/9c beginning on December 9 on Investigation Discovery, the #1 network for true-crime and mystery programming.

After wrapping up eight consecutive months of growth in November on the back of the network's unparalleled slate of brave storytelling, A&E is expanding its signature slate with new and re-energized returning original series set to air January 2018, it was announced today by Elaine Frontain Bryant, Executive Vice President and Head of Programming, A&E Network.

Solange and Bruno Mars lead the nominations for this year's Soul Train Awards. Solange nabbed 7 nominations, while Mars received 6, as reported by Page Six. The ceremony will be held on Sunday November 5th in Las Vegas. The awards will air on BET on November 26th.
