Netflix hosted it's worst premiere this evening, asking guests to avert their eyes as they debuted Season 2 of A Series of Unfortunate Events at the Metrograph in New York City. Unsuspecting patrons were treated to abominable treats and fanfare, all poorly themed to the latest season, where they sipped on aqueous martinis (consisting merely of cold water with an olive on top, served in a fancy glass) and enjoyed art deco decor. Talent in attendance included the dastardly Count Olaf who dared to disguise himself as Neil Patrick Harris, newly minted cast member Allison Williams, and fan favorites Patrick Warburton, Sara Rue, Lucy Punch, K. Todd Freeman, Malina Weissman, and Louis Hynes among other unspectacular Season 2 stars.

I have long been a fan of plays that present an insider's look at what goes on behind-the-scenes at a theatrical production. A fine example of such a backstage farce is Sarah Ruhl's STAGE KISS, skillfully directed by Bart DeLorenzo who knows exactly how to make the most outrageous stage antics and romances seem not only probable but incredibly hysterical thanks to Sarah Ruhl's fast-paced script that leads us on-stage, back-stage and out the stage door as reality collides with fiction in this raucous and revealing relationship comedy.

On RULES OF ENGAGEMENT's upcoming 100th episode and season finale, Brenda goes into labor on Jennifer and Adam's wedding day. Meanwhile, Russell and Timmy make an attempt at reconciliation and Audrey surprises Jeff, on Monday, May 20 (8:30-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

On RULES OF ENGAGEMENT's upcoming episode, titled 'Baby Talk,' when Audrey bonds with their unborn baby, a paranoid Jeff believes she is trying to form an alliance against him. Meanwhile, Russell plagiarizes a real estate article that Timmy wrote, on Monday, March 11 (8:31-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.
