Hagins & Mortimer Design, the newly launched venture of acclaimed interior designer Elizabeth Hagins and noted artist, art advisor and collector Richard Mortimer hosted the Hamptons debut of Charleston Plein Air painter Linda Fantuzzo at their recently opened design gallery at 9 Windmill Lane, Southampton, 11968. The third edition of Art Southampton, the leading international contemporary and modern art fair for acquiring investment quality works of art opened last night with huge success, where top collectors, curators, art advisors and influencers kicked off the weekend-long event. Taking place on the 18-acre estate behind the Southampton Elks Lodge, the Platinum VIP saw over 1,500 top collectors of the East End, and throughout the elegant evening, attendance exceeded last year's VIP Preview of 4,200 guests. Over 350 guests flocked to Watermill for The Parrish Art Museum's annual Spring Fling community party, fundraiser and networking event this Saturday. Perhaps it's cabin fever or simply the thought that summer is a coming, the annual fete draws a crowd of local business professionals that relish the opportunity to greet old friends, share a cocktail with new ones and hit the dance floor all while knowing the importance of the event in raising funds for the Parrish Educational programs.

Over 400 international collectors and prominent figures in art, fashion, beauty and finance flocked to have the first look at an extraordinary survey of four decades of work by famed photographer Robert Farber on Thursday January 30. The show Farberesque: From Pensive to Provocative at 3West57 Project presented by Cavalier Gallery is a fascinating overview of the vast body of work created by the iconic photographer who has influenced scores of the world's leading photographers with his painterly, impressionistic style that allows the viewer to see the subject from a different perspective by creating unique compositions . LuminArte Presents is an exhibition showcasing new works by represented artists as well as a selection of gallery favorites. In addition, they are presenting a roster of new artists to the Dallas art scene alongside a wide range of local talent. This all-encompassing presentation of artists from 25 countries opens on November 9th, with a reception from 7-10pm; and many artists will be in attendance. The exhibition runs through December 7th; both the exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.

Art Southampton's Nick Korniloff and Pamela Cohen, with Beth McNeill, The McNeill Group and her husband artist Jeff Muhs co-hosted an elegant Summer Soiree to kickoff the upcoming Art Southampton, presented by Art Miami, the premier international contemporary and modern art fair and marketplace for acquiring the finest works of art available in the Hamptons. The by-invitation-only event for young collectors and Art Southampton Host Committee members was held at the Muhs' sprawling Shinnecock Hills aerie in their beautifully landscaped sculpture garden and in their art filled home on July 5.
