One year away from its highly anticipated centennial season, Seagle Music Colony presents a compelling 99th season featuring young artists from around the country beginning today, June 21, 2014. The summer season kicks off with Old Friends & New, a fast-paced concert introducing the 2014 young artists in performances ranging from Broadway to opera, hosted by Artistic Director Darren K. Woods at 8:00 pm at the Oscar Seagle Memorial Theatre.

Now entering its 99th season, the Seagle Music Colony, the country's oldest and one of its most respected summer vocal training programs, continues its longstanding tradition of presenting both operatic and Broadway fare to audiences both young and old.

Seagle Music Colony announced that it has been awarded a $118,100 grant as part of the North Country's Regional Economic Development Council Strategic Plan. 'In 2015, Seagle Music Colony will celebrate its 100th Anniversary, and this is a wonderful early-birthday present for all of us involved in this magical place,' says Tony Kostecki, General Director of Seagle Music Colony.

The Atlanta Opera closes its 2011-2012 season with Mozart's Don Giovanni tonight, April 28, May 1, 4 and 6, 2012 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. Widely regarded as the greatest opera ever composed, Don Giovanni is described as 'a brilliant combination of comedy and tragedy, telling of the devious schemes and hijinks of history's most beguiling scoundrel, Don Juan.'
