Theater for the New City and Executive Artistic Director Crystal Field will present a reading of PIE LESSONS by Carrie Robbins, on MONDAY, MARCH 11, 2019, 7:00 PM in the Community Space Theater at The Theater for the New City. PIE LESSONS will be presented as part of TNC's SCRATCH NIGHT performance program, which offers the opportunity for artists to present work in progress to an audience for one night.

SHEPHERD THE MUSICAL will have an industry presentation on Friday, October 12that 3PM at Ripley Grier Studios, Studio 312 (305 West 38th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues). Based on the novel by Harold Bell Wright, SHEPHERD THE MUSICAL is directed by Samantha Saltzman (Assistant Resident Director - Matilda on Broadway, Resident Director, Matilda 1st National Tour), withbook and lyrics by Hayden Head, music and musical direction by Stan Beard (Proud American), and casting by Michael Cassara. The general manager is DTE Management.  

A starry line-up of talent that was on hand to celebrate the AMAS Musical Theatre's 49th Anniversary Gala Benefit honoring Broadway casting director, producer and director Jay Binder, Tony-nominated composer and lyricist Micki Grant and Leonid Poretsky, MD, a leading endocrinologist and founder of the Friedman Transgender Health & Wellness Program at Lenox Hill Hospital.

Casting highlights for Vassar & New York Stage and Film Powerhouse Theater's second Mainstage production, Mozhan Marno's When The Lights Went Out, and the Martel Musical workshop of the new Simon Rich/Peter Lerman musical inspired by The Brooklyn Hero Supply Company, have been announced. In addition, casting highlights for the season's Inside Look Workshops, Found and Mother of Invention have also been announced.
