The Poets' Theatre has entered into an exciting partnership with the
Henry Purcell Society of Boston and the Arcadia Players to present
Henry Purcell's and John Dryden's rarely performed Restoration Era
Musical Spectacle, the semi-opera, King Arthur, for one performance
only on Saturday November 19th at 7:30pm at the Cathedral Church of
Saint Paul,138 Tremont Street, Boston (opposite the Park Street
Station at the top of Boston Common).

Poets' Theatre to Present Dario Fo's MISTERO BUFFALO, Today
The Poets' Theatre is proud to announce its upcoming production of Nobel Laureate Dario's Fo comic masterpiece "Mistero Buffo" at Suffolk University's Modern Theatre from March 18th to 26th, 2016, as part of a festival celebrating Fo's 90th birthday. The production features acclaimed actors Remo Airaldi, Benjamin Evett, and Debra Wise, and is directed by Bob Scanlan. The new American translation is by Bob Scanlan and Walter Valeri.

The Poets' Theatre has announced Albatross, a solo performance piece adapted from Samuel Taylor Coleridge's captivating classic, 'The Rime of the Ancient Mariner.' The adaptation, written by Matthew Spangler and Benjamin Evett, is directed by Boston theater alum Rick Lombardo and features Benjamin Evett. Albatross will be on stage at the Liebergott Black Box at Emerson University, running tonight, February 13th through March 1st 2015.

Kenning Editions, Oracle Productions, and The Poetry Foundation are proud to announce a special collaboration that will give six local poets 48 hours to devise a program of POETS THEATER, accompanied by a panel discussion with Chicago-based poets, playwrights, and critics, plus a talkback and a book launch for The Kenning Anthology of Poets Theater: 1945-1985, edited by Kevin Killian and David Brazil. The six poets will first meet, devise and rehearse on Saturday, December 4, and present their work on Sunday, December 5, at Oracle Theatre, 3809 N. Broadway in Chicago. Sunday's panel discussion begins at 6:00 PM and the performance follows at 7:30. Talkback and book party follow immediately. Admission is free and open to the public in Oracle's Public Access Theatre. Reservations are strongly recommended and can be made at www.oracletheatre.org.
