Blackfriars Repertory Theatre and The Storm Theatre Company will present the world premiere of Death Comes for the War Poets, a dramatic verse tapestry by Joseph Pearce. The production, which will be performed June 9-24, 2017 at The Sheen Center for Thought and Culture's Black Box Theater, is directed by Peter Dobbins.

The Poets' Theatre has entered into an exciting partnership with the Henry Purcell Society of Boston and the Arcadia Players to present Henry Purcell's and John Dryden's rarely performed Restoration Era Musical Spectacle, the semi-opera, King Arthur, for one performance only on Saturday November 19th at 7:30pm at the Cathedral Church of Saint Paul,138 Tremont Street, Boston (opposite the Park Street Station at the top of Boston Common).

All too often, young people in care are defined by their past, rather than by the resilience they draw upon in order to overcome adversity. Society sees these young people as a burden and too often maps out a future for them dominated by antisocial behaviour and criminal activity instead of recognising that through overcoming adversity these young people develop a strength and fortitude that can lead to them contributing huge amounts to society.

The production features acclaimed actors Remo Airaldi, Benjamin Evett, and Debra Wise, and is directed by Bob Scanlan. The new American translation is by Bob Scanlan and Walter Valeri.

The adaptation, written by Matthew Spangler and Benjamin Evett, is directed by Boston theater alum Rick Lombardo and features Benjamin Evett. Albatross will be on stage at the Liebergott Black Box at Emerson University, running tonight, February 13th through March 1st 2015.

Motti Lerner's acclaimed but controversial play, The Admission, just finished a short, sold-out run at Theater J and will be remounted in workshop form by Busboys and Poets. The six poets will first meet, devise and rehearse on Saturday, December 4, and present their work on Sunday, December 5, at Oracle Theatre, 3809 N. Broadway in Chicago. Sunday's panel discussion begins at 6:00 PM and the performance follows at 7:30. Talkback and book party follow immediately.
