Coronado Playhouse announces a one-night-only Special Event: Notes From My Shelf: The Songs of Ian Brandon playing Monday, March 30, 2020 at Coronado Playhouse.

On behalf of Governor Andrew Cuomo, the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation have sent a letter to HR 1242 Resilience Project in reference of their request to present State of New York a stone from Goree Island, Senegal in commemoration of the 400 Years of African-American History. A dedication ceremony for the stone was held on the graveside of Harriet Tubman at Fort Hill Cemetary in Auburn earlier this month.

The Shaw Festival has a great history of producing murder mysteries and this season we are lucky to have Patrick Hamilton's play 'ROPE.' Probably more well known as the 1948 Alfred Hitchcock movie starring Jimmy Stewart, ROPE had it's start in 1929 on the British stage. It's twist lies in the fact that it is not a 'whodunnit,' but a 'can they get away with it.' Hamilton's knack for mystery can also be seen in his other famous thriller, GASLIGHT. From start to finish, this production of ROPE is a riveting hit.

Quite simply put, there aren't enough good things to say about the La Mirada Theatre's recently-opened production of Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story. This show rocks, rolls, and leaves the audiences dancing in the aisles to a soundtrack that it's hard to believe was written over 40 years ago.
