BIO

LUCAS is performing arts professional balancing projects in Theatre/Film and Jazz. As an actor and artistic director of Korus Players Company, Lucas often collaborates with K.P.C. founder Du-Yee Chang, producing performance art events from New York City to South Korea. Born in Atlanta, Georgia, LUCAS began honing his musical sensibilities at an early age, his adolescent listening experiences ran the gamut -- from Motown to Mozart to Miles. (And all the hotspots in-between) After majoring in Theatre Arts at the University of Georgia, LUCAS moved to New York City, where over the last 30+ years - he has lived/worked as a singer/actor/director in numerous Off-Broadway shows, films, television, and international theatrical productions. Performing in a variety of nightclub/cabaret settings, Lucas has been nominated for Manhattan Cabaret/MAC Award and was awarded the Seoul-Sounds Award for Best Jazz Vocalist. Currently he maintains an artist-in-residency position at Taekyueng College (South Korea) as well as being Music Editor at Urban Buzz Magazine.
