Leanne Hill Carlson -Originally from Papillion,Nebraska, she earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from Sam Houston State University. Her favorite credits include Murder Ballad (Sara) at the Omaha Community Playhouse, Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins) at the Rose Theatre, Legally Blonde (Elle Woods) at the Omaha Community Playhouse, A Streetcar Named Desire (Stella) in which she received the Theatre Arts Guild Award for Best Supporting Actress and the OCP Barbara Ford award, Little Women (Meg) with the Nebraska Theatre Caravan, and The Mikado (Pitti-Sing) with Opera Omaha. She was highlighted as the soloist with the Omaha Symphony in their outdoor Memorial Day Concert. She also played “Shanna" in the 2011 movie 'Lucky' starring Colin Hanks & Ann Margaret and has starred in numerous national and local commercials. Leanne holds a Master's Degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and she and her husband, Mark, have two beautiful children, Henry (age 6) and Nora (age 3).Leanne Hill Carlson News

This show is sentimental, soul-searching, and tear-jerking, but meant to stir you up inside and make you think about life. In retrospect, one looks back at their past to see how they ended up in the present. The Last Five Years reflects on that and does it well, bringing a really beautiful piece of musical theatre to the forefront.

Bluebarn Theatre ended a highly successful run of Paula Vogel's INDECENT yesterday in Omaha. The play relates the controversial production of Sholem Asch's play 'God of Vengeance' on Broadway in 1923. The cast of the original Broadway production was arrested on the grounds of obscenity. Bluebarn with its cast and crew magnificently turned out one of the most beautifully produced plays in Omaha.

Omaha, Nebraska is teeming with talent. And once in awhile you come across a person who is more than a performer in the spotlight; she is a light. Camille Metoyer Moten is a singer, actress, author, and inspirational human being. She will appear in her own show at the Omaha Community Playhouse on June 8 and 9 at 7:30 pm and on June 10 at 2:00 pm.

The Brigit Saint Brigit Theatre Company opens UNCLE VANYA at the Joslyn Castle. The stellar cast under the able direction of Cathy Kurz perfectly carries out Chekhov's desire for naturalism. They do not overact. There is no melodrama or big gestures. They feel the emotion and it is exposed. This is stripped down genuine humanity and it is truly special.

The Omaha Community Playhouse is holding its annual fundraiser, Celebrating the Golden Age of Hollywood, on Tuesday, April 24, 2018, 6-9 p.m. at OCP. The event, which salutes the closing musical of OCP's 2017-2018 season - Singin' In The Rain - will benefit the productions and programming of the Omaha Community Playhouse. The event will honor the legacy of generous, longtime participants and supporters of OCP, Ed and Dee Owen. Honorary chairs are the Owen family.
