The John Lennon Songwriting Contest (JLSC), the preeminent, international songwriting contest open to amateur and professional songwriters, named Jasmine Crowe and Josh Anderson the winners of the coveted “OWC $20,000 Song of the Year”, the highest honor bestowed by the contest, for their original song “Breaking Things”. OWC Founder and CEO Larry O'Connor joined Ringo Starr, Jeff Bridges, and JLSC Co-Founder Brian Rothschild to present the writing duo with the $20,000 top prize.

The John Lennon Educational Tour Bus will arrive in Austin for SXSW in celebration of its twentieth anniversary, presenting a special showcase at The Belmont featuring Third Eye Blind on March 16th.  SXSW fans will also enjoy performances by Bob Schneider, Muddy Magnolias, Royal Teeth, and Finland's Tuomo & Markus. The showcase is sponsored by Juniper Networks, Other World Computing (OWC) and founding sponsor Yamaha Corporation of America.

Following the curtain speech made by the Broadway cast of Hamilton to Vice President-elect Mike Pence that took over the Internet, the resultant aftermath included an article from Hot Air writer Larry O'Connor (formally known by the alias 'Stage Right') titled 'And this is why I was a closeted conservative when I worked on Broadway' (sic).
