Kate Redway BIO

Kate Redway (Actress) most recently premiered in the new play American Radical at NJPAC which she co-wrote with Stephen Rosenfield. She is the mother of two sons and a veteran of Off-Broadway. She has appeared in such roles as Maxine in the New York premiere West Memphis Mojo at Theater Four, as Marla in the premiere of Nothing But Bukowski at the Samuel Beckett Theater, and as Maggie in Missing Pieces at The Ensemble Studio Theater and as Erotium at The Riverside Shakepeare Company. She was also seen in the American premiere of The Shelter at the 29th Street Theater. Regional Theater credits include: Noises Off at The Pennsylvania Stage Company, the premiere of Fast Girls at the American Stage Company, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Our Town and The Three Sisters at The American Conservatory Theater. Macbeth, Burying Fiona, Like Bees to Honey and Bronte at the Luna Stage Company, and the premiere of Pandora’s Box at Theater Project. Films include Only in America, Travis v. Travis, and A Young Married Woman. Television includes The Guiding Light and Search for Tomorrow. Comedy: Ms. Redway was a founding member of the sketch comedy group Rubber Feet which appeared regularly at the Comic Strip; she also appeared in Lewis Black’s Star in Bars at the Ensemble Studio Theater and in Theatersports at the Westside Arts Theater. Ms. Redway has performed Stand-Up Comedy at Carolines and Gotham City in New York City.

Middlebury Actors Workshop and Town Hall Theater present a staged reading of Kate Redway's new play,American Radical. American Radical is an intimate, astonishing and moving portrayal of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, the founder of the woman's rights movement at Seneca Falls in 1848.  American Radical uses Elizabeth Cady Stanton's own writings to reveal her humor, inner life and public battles.
