Jamie Leigh Johnson

Jamie Leigh Johnson is 22 years of age and completed a Bachelor of Music majoring in Music Theatre at the Australian Institute of Music in 2013. During her time studying, she appeared in 'As You Like it' as Celia, Romaine Petterson in 'The Laramie Project', Johanna in 'Sweeney Todd', directed by Stuart Maunder and as Olga Con Sturm in 'Nine.'

In 2013 she made her debut for Squabbalogic Independent Music Theatre as Helen in their production of 'Carrie The Musical'. In 2014 she continued her work with the company in their production of 'The Drowsy Chaperone.' playing the part of Kitty. She also worked with Exclaim Theatre Company playing the part of Logainne in 25th Annual Puttnam County Spelling Bee, as performed as an 'Angel Soprano' with Ian Coopers Music if Andre Rieu Spectacular.

Jaimie worked with Edgewise Productions for their 'Broadway Bound' contemporary musical cabaret performed at the Seymour Centre Sydney in October 2014.

She is currently performing the role of Johanna in New Theatre's Production of Sweeney Todd.

Other performance highlights include being a part of the Sydney Heats in the Your Theatrics International Cabaret Contest, 2014, backing vocalist for Eddie Perfect at the Rob Guest Endowment, 2013 and a performance as a featured artist in Starstruck, Newcastle.
