The Blank Theatre's world premiere production of Sukie & Sue: Their Story by Michael John LaChiusa, directed by Kirsten Sanderson, was developed last year in The Blank's Living Room Series. Sukie & Sue: Their Story is the only play ever written by LaChiusa, who has received five Tony Award nominations for his musicals. Sukie & Sue: Their Story began previews on April 21, and opening is set for tonight, April 28 at 8pm. The engagement will run through Sunday, June 3.

On the January 8th episode of ABC's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES entitled 'What's to Discuss, Old Friend', with a gun at her side, Bree prepares to end it all now that her friends have abandoned her and her life continues to spiral further into despair.

This sparkling new version of the classic fairytale Cinderella is a joy for adults and kids alike. In fact, it's done in the style of a British Panto (short for Pantomime), which has nothing to do with silent mime, but is classified as a winter comedy with music hall or vaudeville sensibility and enough audience participation to make it raucous and fun for the entire family. The Lythgoe Family's new entertainment @ the El Portal is certainly that, judging by audience reactions the day I attended. Everyone was cheering, booing and participating in top form making for a fun-filled afternoon.

On Sunday, August 5th at the Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation (REAF) presented 'Help is on the Way XIII: Goes to the Movies,' Northern California's largest annual AIDS benefit and gala.
