Reacquaint Yourself With THE WIZARD OF OZ, Presented By Stand Up For... Theatre at DoodleHATCH in Columbia

During Pride month, it's appropriate to support theatre devoted to the inclusion of those who have been 'othered' by society in general, and even in the theatrical community. Take pride in your local alternative community theater and see Stand Up For.... Theatre's latest production, THE WIZARD OF OZ, at DoodleHatch in Columbia through June 18th, 2023.

Stand Up, Dress Up And Show Up For THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW At DoodleHATCH in Columbia

THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW, book, lyrics and music by Richard O'Brien, is his homage to B movies of horror and science fiction. This fantastical romp of a musical is packed with archetypal characters, hackneyed tropes and references that should have no resonance with contemporary youth. It's been a cult favorite for its entire half-century existence.

BWW Review: SUPERIOR DONUTS at Third Wall Productions Impresses with Heart and Humor

A few months back I decided to read Tracy Letts' SUPERIOR DONUTS. I do that a lot when I've decided I missed a show that I really wish I hadn't. If I can't see it in person, then reading the play is a close second. The story of a small donut shop in a rundown neighborhood of Chicago, its owner and the people that frequent his shop struck a chord with me. The relationship between Arthur, and Franco, the young man Arthur employs is full of differences. Arthur is an aging Polish hippie/donut-maker, while Franco is a young African American writer.

In the cast, there's a blend familiar faces from local theater productions and a whole slew of newcomers. During the run-up to the show's opening night, we introduced you to members of Kate's cast - and now that the show is up and running, we're happy to introduce you to another cast member...Jessica Higgins...

BWW Reviews: A CHORUS LINE at The Keeton Theatre
