On September 23rd, the Oscar-Qualifying HollyShorts Film Festival will once again host a star-studded Opening Night celebration. Attendees of the in-person ceremony will witness short film premieres from Academy Award-winning alumni and Hollywood heavyweights. Kicking off the 17th annual festival will be a special screening from Film Independent and Netflix Film Club.

Beginning Saturday, August 28, 2010, L.A. Theatre Works Radio Theatre Series will air The Doctor's Dilemma by George Bernard Shaw, starring Jane Carr, Gregory Cooke, Kenneth Danziger, Roy Dotrice, Martin Jarvis, Jennifer Dundas Lowe, Simon Templeman, Douglas Weston, and Paxton Whitehead.

Douglas Weston and Carolyn Seymour have joined the cast of the L.A. Theatre Works production of Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing at the Skirball Cultural Center, November 12-16.

Straight from London's National Theatre to L.A. Theatre Works, Stacy Keach and Julian Sands star in the American Premiere of David Hare's streamlined version of Bertolt Brecht's The Life of Galileo. LATW opens its 2007-08 season with five performances at the Skirball Cultural Center, October 17-21, each recorded to air on LATW's nationally-syndicated weekly radio theater series, 'The Play's The Thing.'
