As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Don Pardo, best known as the announcer for NBC's long-running sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, has passed away earlier this week at the age of 96.
On Day 2 of 'Where in the World is Matt Lauer' on NBC's TODAY, the veteran news reporter turned up in Madrid, Spain. The host explained that this was not the original itinerary for the week. Due to weather-related issues, the crew was forced to rearrange the scheduled locations of the popular segment.
Stage vet and former Murphy Brown, Candice Bergen, will be among those inducted into the Television Academy's Hall of Fame in the 19th annual induction ceremony.
