Augmented Chinatown 2.0 is an app from the UK's leading platform for British Chinese artists, Chinese Arts Now, producers and creators of art telling Chinese stories in contemporary and innovative ways.

When an armistice was declared to halt the Korean War in 1953, hundreds of thousands of families were left divided on either side of the Korean Demilitarised Zone: since 2000, nineteen reunions have been organised by the state with a select few invited across the border to temporarily reunite with family they have not seen in over fifty years. After these reunions they will never meet again.

Tara Theatre in London has dedicated a three-week run of Eastern Star, a play about freedom of expression in Myanmar to the two Reuters journalists, U Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, given seven-year prison sentences in Yangon, for 'violating a state secrets act'. This news comes shortly after the 30th anniversary of the 1988 student uprising against the military dictatorship in Burma (now Myanmar) on 8th August.

New casting announced for the new National Theatre season. Full cast has been announced for Brian Friel's Translations including Colin Morgan and Ciaran Hinds, part of the Travelex season with thousands of tickets available at £15. Full casting is announced for the award winning An Octoroon by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, transferring to the National Theatre in a co-production with the Orange Tree Theatre. The NT will tour to 30 venues in 27 towns and cities across the UK and Ireland, for a total of 83 playing weeks over the next year. Rufus Norris' Macbeth to tour to 18 venues across the UK and Ireland from autumn 2018. War Horse returns to the National Theatre marking the centenary of Armistice Day.

Rehearsals have started for The Great Wave, a co-production with the Tricycle Theatre. a new play by Francis Turnly. Previews from 10 March, press night 19 March, playing until 14 April at the Dorfman theatre.

Up The Road Theatre and the Unity Theatre are excited to announce their new 2016 tour; BARDOLPH'S BOX, a small-scale, Shakespeare-inspired production for 8-to-12-year-olds, celebrating 400 years of Shakespeare's work.

GOLD MOUNTAIN is an intimate portrait of a son's attempt to connect with his father and an exploration of cultural, racial, and generational divides. Written by David Yip and Kevin Wong, the story follows the father's journey from a small town in China just starting to be touched by Communism to Liverpool (home of Europe's first Chinatown), where he strives to build a new life and family.

Award-winning Montreal theatre company Les Deux Mondes is excited to present their internationally acclaimed show, Gold Mountain, for the first time in their home theatre, Aux Ecuries, from tonight, April 16-27. Written by talented British playwright, actor and filmmaker David Yip, along with Kevin Wong, the play is performed by the original actors: David Yip as father figure, Yee Lui and Eugene Salleh, as his son, David Yee. This visually stunning multimedia presentation is the collaboration of the inspired Les Deux Mondes creative team: director/designer Daniel Meilleur, visual artist Yves Dube and sound/multimedia designer Michel Robidoux.

Pierre MacDuff, General Manager of Les Deux Mondes, has announced that Unity Theatre's Artistic Director, Graeme Phillips, and Executive Director, Sue Williams, will be in town from Liverpool to attend the opening night performance of Gold Mountain.

Following performances in the UK, Stockholm, and Vancouver, GOLD MOUNTAIN is coming home.
