BIO

Camilla Shae (謝逸美) is a Eurasian actor, playwright, singer, and martial artist. Her work combines quick wit with a guttural need to explore memory, familial legacy, and cultural belonging. As an actor, she has performed Shakespeare and classical works in theaters, prisons, community centers, and on international tours. As a playwright, Camilla creates character-driven work that centers Asian American stories. Her auto-biographical debut solo play about her grandmother’s life in World War II Japan, How to Catch Crickets with Your Bare Hands, premiered in Pan Asian Repertory Theatre’s 2026 NuWorks Festival. MFA in Acting from USD/The Old Globe, RADA London.
